Cooking with Kids – Homemade Fruit Roll Ups

We just made these super simple Homemade Fruit Roll Ups from What’s Up Moms. For a video tutorial click here.

First, washed your fruit. We used organic strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries.

Next, put the fruit into the blender. I let the kids put them in, well-supervised so that they didn’t put their little hands inside!

Add a little honey, put the lid on, then stand back and turn that baby on!

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and pour the fruit puree onto it.

Using a rubber spatula, spread it all around as evenly as possible. It’s a little bit too delicate for the kids to do but believe-you-me, they will boss you around and tell you what spots you’ve missed 🙂

Bake at 200 degrees F for 3 hours and voila!

I left them on the parchment paper, cut them into strips and rolled those beautiful babies up. After they were refrigerated in a ziplock bag for a while they were very easy to pull off.

Who knew they were so simple! I love that I can control the quality of the fruit and amount and type of sweetener that went into these. Have fun making them!
